“Dionysia’ was a large festival in ancient Athens in honor of Dionysus, the god of festivity, insanity, ritual madness, ecstasy, and theater. For this 2024 edition of SWAB, Plato presents a group show featuring different perspectives on deception. A contemporary Dionysian homage to Illusion. What we see is trompe’l’oeil, a farce at the center of a game of illusions.”

The invitation to take part in the exhibition ‘Dyonisia’ came from his curator and friend, Diogo Ramalho, with Plato Gallery.

He presented the paintings “Lançar foguetes antes da festa” (Launching rockets before the party), “Quem brinca com o fogo, faz xixi na cama” (People who play with fire wet the bed), “Terceiro teatro de sombras” (Third shadow theatre), and “Quarto teatro de sombras” (Forth shadow theatre), all from  2024.
