“A new day came and I didn't go for a walk because I was too tired. From that day on, time seemed to fly.

I have very few drawings in my sketchbook from this fourth day. I think it was the day I was drawing people from the community on loose paper. I drew Otília and José, Maria, Júlia and many others.

I remember that day in the evening when, after rumours of the death of a six-month-old girl, her brother, to whom I gave the workshop in the morning, came to me and asked me to draw her before the funeral. It was a heavy moment, of such intimacy that for a few minutes I belonged to the home and the pain of that family. Drawing has always helped me to be with others.”
